SUBJECT: Acceptable Office Memorabilia
It has come to my attention that some employees are displaying office memorabilia that are less than acceptable from a business image standpoint. Please review the following guidelines and take appropriate action.
Acceptable
- Any framed photograph of our Founder
- Photos that show the employee with a business leader or Republican politician
- Framed copies of articles from the Wall Street Journal
- Humorous golf items, so long as they are not made of plastic or brightly colored
- Photos of the Founder's round-the-world balloon, the Corporate Challenger
- A formal photograph of one's immediate family, taken in a studio with a muted background
Unacceptable
- Any family photo not taken in a studio
- Photos of the employee on vacation, recreating, cooking outdoors, drinking alcohol, or smoking
- Photos that show the employee violating the corporate dress code, section 6c: Offsite and After Hours Attire
- Employee photos that display cleavage, tattoos, or questionable hand gestures
- Models of the Corporate Challenger, especially those with graffiti or added signage
- Cartoons, especially Dilbert
- Plastic novelty items, including (but not limited to) cartoon and movie figures, animals, and sports "bobble-heads"
- "Artwork" by children
- Wedding photographs (formal or informal)
Remember, these are guidelines. Questionable items should be impounded, pending approval by the Decor committee.
