Horse Cars

The Minneapolis Street Railway Company began horse car service on September 2nd, 1873.

The fare was five cents.

The cars carried 14 passengers. With two fresh horses pulling the car, it clip-clopped through the city streets at 6 miles per hour. This car is stopped, resting the horses or waiting for passengers.
